On Patricio’s eighth birthday, he is gifted an orange jacket from his father, Rafa, an undocumented construction worker struggling to make ends meet as they settle in their new home. While at work, Rafa comes close to losing his job when the police show up, and Pato loses his much-desired birthday gift at school. As they navigate the ups and downs of a day’s celebrations and losses, they find solace in each other and the nature surrounding them.
